Marketing: We may use your Personal Data to keep you informed about our products and services and send you promotional material about Contractornerds.com, Partners, Affiliates, and other third-party partners. If you provide a mobile phone number, you grant us permission to send text messages and call that number for marketing and promotional purposes.

If you provide a mobile phone number, you grant us and our Partners or Contractors permission to call and send text messages to that number to respond to your request.

Service Providers: In the course of our general business operations, for certain features, and other legitimate business interests, we may share your Personal Data with service providers or sub-processors who provide services or process data on our behalf.

Affiliates: To streamline business operations, develop products and services, and inform customers about relevant products, we may share your Personal Data with our current or future Affiliates.

Exercising Your Rights:

“Verifiable Consumer Request” refers to a request that:

  • Is made by you, your authorized representative on your behalf, or you on behalf of your minor child.
  • Is made only twice within a twelve-month period.
  • Provides sufficient information for us to reasonably verify that you are the person about whom we collected Personal Information or an authorized representative of such person.

We cannot respond to requests when we cannot verify your identity or authority. Personal Information provided in a Verifiable Consumer Request will be used solely for the purpose of verifying your identity or authority. You are not required to create an account with us to submit a Verifiable Consumer Request. Verifiable Consumer Requests related to data held directly in our systems will be honored and responded to. For Personal Information shared with or sold to Partners, Contractors, or other third parties, their Verifiable Consumer Request process should be followed, and requests should be submitted directly to those parties.

Access and Data Portability: Upon receiving a Verifiable Consumer Request, we will disclose the following information:

  • The categories of Personal Information we collected about you.
  • The categories of sources of the Personal Information we collected about you.
  • The categories of third parties with whom we shared your Personal Information.
  • Our business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling your Personal Information.
  • The specific pieces of Personal Information we collected about you (Data Portability Request).
  • If we sold or disclosed your personal information for a business purpose, two separate lists disclosing:
    • Sales, identifying the categories of Personal Information that each category of third party purchased.
    • Disclosures for a business purpose, identifying the categories of Personal Information that each category of third party received.

Please note that due to the retention periods for Personal Information, we may not be able to respond to all data requests relating to the twelve months before the Verifiable Consumer Request.

Upon receipt and confirmation of your Verifiable Consumer Request, we will delete your Personal Information from our records, unless an exception applies, and direct our service providers to similarly delete your Personal Information from their records.

Personal Information Sales Opt-Out and Opt-In Rights: The CCPA gives Consumers the right to opt-out of the sale of Personal Information about them or their household, such as name, postal or email address, and other personally identifying information. You can exercise this right if you have a current California residence, even if you are not physically present in California. This right is subject to certain exemptions and exceptions. For example, it does not apply to information shared with certain third-party service providers that perform business functions for us.

To exercise the right to opt-out, you, or your authorized representative, can submit an opt-out request to us using the method provided below. You do not need to create an account with us to submit an opt-out request. Personal Information provided in an opt-out request will only be used to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request and to comply with the request. After fulfilling your opt-out request, we will wait for at least twelve months before seeking your reauthorization to sell Personal Information.
